This location is said to be one of the best Detroit sunrise spots. It's along the Detroit River at Milliken State Park and Harbor.
I don't get up early but that might inspire me. Think of it as a natural light show. The park is a good size at 31-acres and has some nice benches along the water. You don't have to drive to Lake Michigan to get good views, stay local.
