We love taking rides for adventure even during winter. Sleeping Bear Dunes is always beautiful. I'll journey to Frankenmuth eat a bunch of food and then journey to the dunes.
Other great escapes during winter are Mackinac Island, much less people during this time. Pond Hill Farms along Grand Traverse Bay's north shore at Howard City is open serving food and has a great sledding hill. Also it is beautiful even during this season at Dow Gardens in Midland. More here.
