There are some great little getaway places in Michigan. OIYS featured one I've driven by many times and had fun on the same lake. Hideaway Cove way out on US-12 near the speedway cool.
It's on Evans Lake near the popular Wamplers Lake and Hayes State Park. You can get some good barbeque from a roadside truck out there, and an awesome small winery called Blue Skies Brewery is close by also.
