The heat on American Idol was out of control last night. Not only did the final 4 light up the stage ahead of an elimination, but judge Katy Perry started a fire of her own as she sported a red, leather ensemble.

Perry dropped jaws with a stunning red leather dress and black, thigh-high boots as she judged the top four contestants alongside fellow judges, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie. Complimenting the outfit perfectly was her chic, bleach-blonde hair and flawless makeup.
“ARE YOU WATCHING THIS RED HOT DRAMA?!” Perry posted to social media along with some photos of her look. “DON’T FORGET TO VOTE... 4 BECOME 3 TONIGHT.”
Chayce Beckham, Willie Spence and Grace Kinstler were voted into the final three, forcing fans to say goodbye to stand-out contestant Casey Bishop.
While Bishop’s exit was a shock to many, nothing shocked viewers more than the abrupt exit of top 5 finalist, Caleb Kennedy, earlier in the week.
The 16-year-old from South Carolina exited the competition after a video surfaced of him alongside a person dressed in what appeared to be a Ku Klux Klan hood, reported TMZ.
“Hey y’all, this is gonna be a bit of a surprise, but I am no longer gonna be on American Idol,” Kennedy shared in a post on his Instagram. “There was a video that surfaced on the internet and it displayed actions that were not meant to be taken in that way.”
The top three finalists will compete May 23 for the title of American Idol beginning at 8pm ET / 7pm CT on ABC.
