Props to our firefighters who go beyond. It turns out crew from the Monroe Township Fire Department crawled out on ice to rescue what appeared to be an injured goose on ice. After showing concern they discovered it was just a goose decoy used for hunting.
It was a positive, this from the Chief, "It ended up being a good training session, actually, In the end, we can sleep well at night. A bird is not suffering." More here.
