Cats are survivors. A cat that escaped from a carrier at JFK was found three weeks later.
John Debacker from a rescue group got involved with the search, "It was quite difficult to get clearance. My friend Teddy Henn and I were hanging flyers in the terminal when a Port Authority worker noticed a collar found near the runway's edge by the water matched the flyer description."
Debacker even got approval to put out a night cam and a trap which worked saving Ettore.
