A great adventure to a Michigan island that has giant 100 feet tall, 500 year old trees. I'm talking about South Manitou Island. It will take a ferry to get there so the first stop is Leland. It has been named Valley of the Giants.
The journey to the island is a 1.5-hour ferry ride. South Manitou Island is 16 miles off the Michigan west coast. There are over 6 miles of trails there. This is a great nature adventure not many know about. See more here.
