This is patriotic. Veteran's Day Michigan State University will play a basketball game on the USS Abraham Lincoln in San Diego which is the newest aircraft carrier. Assistant coach Doug Wojcik is a Navy Vet, "That's always in the forefront of who I am. We're all going on our experiences and between being on the ship and certainly the five years involved with the Naval Academy, it's formed me. It's forged me."
Amazing how high tech our navy system is, Wojcik said, "Imagine the technology that would be involved with the newest aircraft carrier in the United States Navy, so it will even blow me away compared to what I was on."
It has been done before and I'm trilled that it continues. The Spartans will be taking on highly ranked Gonzaga. I bet wind will affect some shots of basketball, and I'm sure all have played on outdoor courts with wind. Great event, more here.
