I didn't realize that there are over 12,000 bears in Michigan. I think of the Smoky Mountains when thinking of bears. Jared Duquette commented, “At this time of year and given relatively warm conditions, most bears in Michigan are likely still out and about foraging. However, most bears typically forage and look for dens at the same time.”
