Called The Great Lakes State how about a local county be called The Many Lakes County. Oakland County has over 300 lakes! Of course not every lake is easily assessable.
Heron is a great hangout lake with its beaches. Cass Lake is one of my favorites. I'm sure many have lakes connected to their backyard. The lakes are everywhere in Oakland County. Great summer, many places to enjoy it locally. More here.
