Many things are edible. Now edible food tape has been created. I hope that takes away concern of what's sticking it to food. Tastee Tape was created by students at Johns Hopkins University, "First, we learned about the science around tape and different adhesives, and then we worked to find edible counterparts."
I assume it is created salty and sugary for the different types of food it would be used on. "What I can say is that all its ingredients are safe to consume, are food grade, and are common food and dietary additives." Certainly is great for burritos.
