I've done stories about small and large towns, now about mid-size towns in Michigan. There is a ranking of the best which features my favorite Grand Haven. About 10,000 live there. The South Pier with a lighthouse attracts me. Plus there is another lighthouse there.
Top on the list is Ypsilanti. Not one of my favorite spots but they do have some cool eclectic shops. Also included is beautiful Escanaba in the Upper Peninsula with Sand Point Lighthouse. See more here.
