A woman who was considered missing more than 5 months was discovered. Authorities noticed her vehicle parked near Spanish Fork Canyon for a long time and started the search. Volunteers accidently discovered her when trying to find a drone that crashed, “As they walked into the hills they found a tent that they believed was abandoned. About then the zipper of the tent opened and there was the woman SAR officials searched for in December 2020.”
This all happened several miles away from Salt Lake City. It is assumed she survived on water from a river plus eating grass and moss. She mentioned it was "willingly" done. More here.
