Ypsilanti resident turned his property into a haunted attraction called Haunt at the Roxbury. He loves hearing people scream and laugh, "There's something intoxicating about that whole mix, I think it's awesome." Started three years ago he now actually uses hired actors.
What's best is he allows tours with donated canned goods which he gives to Hope Clinic Food Pantry. Last year 1,100 pounds of food was achieved, the goal is 3 times that this year. "Our main goal was to lift people's spirits — that really was what we wanted to do," also, "That's when it dawned on me — it's fun, but there's more happening under the surface." More here.
