DMV – It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our WPGC family member Antonio "Tony Redz aka Mr. 24/7" Lovett.Tony Redz was with the WPGC family for almost 20 years. He originally joined WPGC in 2000 on the street team. Tony left for a brief stint with the competition, but came back as his heart was always with WPGC 95.5! He returned as a part time on-air jock, promoted to full time evening jock and held that position until his departure last year.
A dedicated family man, Tony Redz was all about the people. He loved kids and was well known in the community. He worked tirelessly with schools and youth organizations hosting various events. He loved the MIC and was the best to ever do it. Tony Redz was always working and never turned down a gig, earning him the title "Mr. 24/7."He even wrapped his personal truck with the station logo, and always represented the WPGC brand! Tony Redz broke more local music and artists than any other on-air personality in the city, and he carried the DMV on his back!
Tony's passing leaves a huge hole in the community and in our hearts. We will celebrate his life and keep his legacy alive. Rest Peacefully, Antonio Lovett… aka Tony Redz, Mr. 24/7. #foreverWPGCfamily
