Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds has revealed he and his family have tested positive for coronavirus, but have since recovered.
The R&B singer-songwriter and producer made the announcement in a birthday post on Instagram on Friday.
"I feel so blessed to celebrate another birthday. I tested positive for the Covid19 virus, as did my family,” Edmonds wrote. “It's an incredibly scary thing to go through my friends."
He added: “I'm happy to report we have now tested negative and are on our way back to full health."
While he didn’t give any further details in regards to when he or his family got diagnosed or any symptoms they experienced, the 62-year-old made it known he was ready to get back to work.
"I would like to officially accept the invitation from the legendary Swizz Beatz & Timbaland to participate with my little brother, Teddy Riley in what I'd like to call a Celebration of Black Music Excellence in — Teddy vs. Babyface...," he added. "So get ready for a night of groove and love. Ladies... put on your red dress... light the candles, pour some wine, and don't forget to bring your dancing shoes."
The GRAMMY winner will take part in the Instagram Live beat battle on April 18th at 9PM ET.
