In this month’s edition of “Talks with Todd”. Todd sits down with Chase, senior business consultant, Darla Harris.

May is business Awareness Month and earlier this month the Chase Skyland Branch held a small business appreciation event to say Thank You to some local DC businesses. Small businesses are the backbone of our economy.

Darla, explains that Chase does this kind of work for small business so that she able to embrace the opportunity to work with small business owners to help them with tools and resources that they will need to help their business grow.

In 2020, JPMorgan Chase released a 5 year $30 billion commitment to focus on expanding affordable housing, increasing homeownership, growing small businesses, improving financial health and accelerating workforce diversity. Darla at the Skyland Branch is helping the local business in your neighborhood your favorite DC bakeries, restaurants, hair salons, and medical professionals. Chase is here to make sure that black and brown communities are on an even playing field.

JPMorgan Chase offers a Minority Entrepreneur Group it’s a 3 to 6 month program for entrepreneurs to get a full picture of their business. You go through an analysis of your strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and any threats to your business. It’s a program to fully pull back the layers and educating business owners and those aspiring to be business owners.
