May is National Military Appreciation Month and is a declaration that encourages U.S. citizens to observe the month as a symbol of unity.
This month is a time to pay tribute to those who have sacrificed so much for our freedom. Audacy DC and its partner, JPMorgan Chase, believes in doing just that.
Carry the Load is a nonprofit organization that provides active ways to connect Americans to the sacrifices of our nation’s military, veterans, first responders and their families. This great organization, that gives back to so many, has teamed up with JPMorgan Chase. Leading the charge in this division, is Mark Elliott, who serves as the head of Military and Veteran Affairs. Mr. Elliott spent 28 years in the Armed Forces and retired as a US Army Colonel.
JPMorgan Chase is committed to partnering with the military and hires a large number of veterans transitioning to new careers. Mr. Elliott’s advice for anyone in this stage of their life is “You have to actively start your homework to make this transition. In order to find a job or a career that suits you, you have to prepare to make this life change. Or it can become very overwhelming. There are a lot of great resources to get you ready for the transition to civilian life, but the key… is preparation.”
Memorial Day is always special to Mr. Elliott and his partners at JPMorgan Chase. This holiday for so many active military, veterans and their families, all across the country is a day of “Remembrance” for all of the sacrifices, that were made by so many for this country.
