
The Snowman himself, Jeezy, is taking his game out of music and putting it onto the pages of books. The 45-year-old rapper is gearing up for the release of his latest project, a self-help memoir titled Adversity For Sale, and in a special episode of the Rap Radar Podcast, he sat down with Elliott Wilson and Brian ‘B.Dot’ Miller to share how the book came about and why.

Diving into the title of the book, Adversity For Sale, Jeezy says for him, it signifies the true hustler in him. "I feel like that's what a true entrepreneur a true hustler, he knows its gone be more pitfalls than it is trophies all day," he told Elliot and B.Dot.
"You know I been writing music for so long it's just these are extended stories," Jeezy said. While Jeezy is wildly known for being a pioneer in popularizing trap music, he says "I had to figure out a way to continue to tell my story but do it from a perspective of 'how can I spread some knowledge?' Because with music you can kind of do it but you got three minutes to make your point."
The Atlanta rapper revealed that he started writing the book during the pandemic and it quickly became "therapeutic." As someone who struggled with being open and honest about his feelings and experiences, he realized he found freedom in getting it alL out in the book, adding that "transparency is the key, vulnerability is power."
Set to hit stores August 8, "the book ain't just for the people that are into our culture or just music. It's life, it's like 'however this applies to you.'"
"I learned a lot through books and I was ashamed to read books in front of people," the "All There" rapper revealed, "so you know it wasn't like the coolest thing to do so I hope I'm making it kind of cool."
