With the drop of his new album and his baby mama drama, Playboi Carti has had himself quite the few days. Luckily for him the album is doing great, as for the troubles with Iggy Azalea, looks like things are looking up in that department as well.
First things first, let’s start with the album. Released on December 25, Whole Lotta Red is already projected to do great things.

With expectations to move 125,000-135,000 album equivalent units in its first week, the album is forecasted to debut atop of the charts, which would secure Carti his first-ever No. 1 project.
The album three years in the making features collabs from Kanye West, Future, Kid Cudi, and more. And Carti clearly isn’t finished, less than 24 hours after Whole Lotta Red's release, he confirmed he was working on the album's deluxe version and even called on his fans for some assistance.
The newest album’s success, show the rapper’s progression since he first dropped on the scene with his self-titled mixtape in 2017, which debuted at No.12. A year later in 2018, his sophomore project and first studio album Die Lit, debuted at No.3, with 61,000 units in its first week. Which leads us to now, and Carti’s sure to be No.1 status.
While Carti’s career is looking up, his personal life, not so much. During such a celebratory time of both his album release and Christmas, Carti found himself in a bit of some baby mama drama with Iggy Azalea, who had a few choice words for the rapper she decided to publicly share.
After actively choosing to miss out on celebrating Christmas with their son to celebrate his album release instead.
Sharpening up her Twitter fingers with a slew of tweets, Iggy had the following to say to Carti, “I would never decide to do something of my own free will that meant missing a milestone moment with my son & if you do you’re trash.” The Australian rapper went on,“Too bad you got an album out but can’t even come to Christmas with your own son. Imagine not flying out your family on Christmas but you have the girl you cheated on my entire pregnancy at your album party and magically me and my son can’t come for Christmas any more? TRASH.”
Dang Carti! You messed up. Iggy clearly wasn’t playing around, noting that she knows the internet usually doesn’t side with her and that most wouldn’t believe her claims. However, she’d had enough and knew “ a lot of women could relate.” Adding, “to clarify this man was literally at my house last night telling me he loves me.” Seriously Carti?…
A few days have passed since then and it seems as though Iggy has decided to give Carti a chance to “change for the better.”
After a concerned fan replied to Iggy urging her not to “fall back into his trap,” Iggz assured her there would be no such things occurring. That her only intention and hope by giving Carti a chance is for him “ to do right by his son.”
Like we said, quite the weekend for Playboi Carti, but in the end things are looking up, both on the charts and with his son.
