The focus on the Miami Dolphins over the past few weeks has been on quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. But the rest of the team deserves some recognition for rattling off three straight wins with two of them coming against top tier teams in the 49ers and Rams.
Miami now has a 4-3 record as they seem to be clicking on all cylinders. Brian Baldinger joined The Joe Rose Show on Tuesday morning and Baldy was quick to compliment the Dolphins defense.
"It all goes together, it all fits," Baldinger said about the defense. "It's the scheme, the players playing the scheme, how they play, and how disciplined they are. It's an incredible turnaround."
Brian did have thoughts on Tua's debut as well.
"Tua didn't have to do much of the lifting, the defense and the special teams did most of the work, it was really kind of a soft debut he didn't have to do much," Baldinger said. … "This was a game about the defense and special teams. You have to get the first one under your belt and you get a win like that against a good football team and all of those things happen you just feel good."
The Dolphins will look to stay hot with a tough road test against the Cardinals coming up on Sunday. If the Dolphins can continue to get full-team efforts as we have seen there is no reason why they can't be a playoff team in the very near future.
