Andres Gimenez’s Instagram account already has him mocked up in a Cleveland Indians uniform, but much like teammate Amed Rosario, Gimenez took to the platform to thank New York for his short time in the Big Apple.
Gimenez, along with Rosario and two prospects, went to Cleveland in the deal bringing Francisco Lindor and Carlos Carrasco to Queens, and his Instagram post, written in Spanish, roughly translated to this:
“Thank you New York Mets for giving me the opportunity to make my dream a reality. More than teammates and friends, you gave me brothers who have made me grow more and more every day. Saying goodbye to the Big Apple.
It was an honor!”
