To kick off the second hour of the Jon Chuckery show, Jon talks about where UGA should land in the pecking order of the SEC. While Jon mainly focused on the Bulldogs and what they did this year he also touched on what Georgia has to do in the years coming forward including next year.
Jon says “Georgia has to be a playoff team next year.” Jon also talks about how Georgia has to bring in game changing and play making quarterbacks. Jon says “You need that guy now. You need a guy like Trevor Lawrence or Lance” Jon then goes on to talk about how at first he wasn’t in favor of firing Mark Richt, and that Kirby worked out in year two, but that’s it so far, and again “Kirby has to get this team back to the playoff” Jon says.
To close out the segment Jon talked about how Florida is on the rise as well, and how we could see Florida and Georgia exchange SEC East titles for the next couple of years. “Georgia could win it a few years, and Florida could win it in one year.” Jon Chuckery says. This makes getting a quarterback in here even more important.
It’s safe to say that UGA seems to be in a good place at quarterback now with the possibility of J.T. Daniels coming back, and could act as the bridge for five star quarterback Brock Vandagriff coming in. However, we thought the same thing last year with Jamie Newman, so can we really be too sure?
