Alabama beat-writer Cecil Hurt joined Dukes & Bell to talk about another top 3 recruiting class for the Tide and is Nick Saban close to walking away from the job?
Hurt said he doesn’t expect Saban to hang up the straw hat anytime soon.
“Is he gonna walk away from another number one recruiting class, I don’t know.” Hurt said “I think on a personal level, he’s happy here for a guy who’s never happy, he’s happy enough. His family is happy here, everything is in place, he likes to win, as he approaches age seventy I don’t know he wants to take on a rebuilding job for any amount of money. Because I think financially Alabama has made him financially independent.”
“Would he want to be a tv analyst, would he want to be an NFL coach, maybe. He’s kind of dabbled in those things, but I think he enjoys what he’s doing, he’s not enjoyed the Coronavirus, he’s not enjoyed with having to deal with all that, but I think he’s enjoyed the season.”
