The path to Miami actually completing a trade with Brooklyn for Kevin Durant is an almost impossible one. Despite the Heat being one of the two teams Durant has on his wish list, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Nets will ultimately choose the best offer on the table for what is shaping up to be the biggest trade maybe in NBA history.
While the Heat - clearly in the mix - have the assets to make Brooklyn interested, they’re up against 28 other teams looking to do the same. The odds aren’t exactly in their favor.
With that being said, one thing remains true: The Heat are once again looked at as an attractive destination for one of the leagues best players. And while it may not work out for them this time, the Pat Riley influenced “culture” continues to attract they eye of the games best.
Thursday, the Hoch and Crowder Show spent the final hour of their show discussing the possibility of Durant ending up in Miami and what it means for the Heat to be in the mix.
