Omer Yurtseven is really coming into his own with The Heat. Against The Magic he scored 16 points and had 15 rebounds. When asked if he feels he has earned the right to be considered a true NBA player he says, "It takes these games to solidify your worth but I knew from the start."
The center loves his teammates especially Udonis Haslem, Yurtseven says if you make a mistake he let's you know saying, "If I have to tell you that again, I am going to cuss you out."
He adds, "He and they are not trying to attack you personally, it is constructive."
For those that think UD is just taking up a spot on the roster, Yurtseven argues, "If anybody is saying that he is proving them wrong."
Being from Turkey has he always been a basketball fan? Yurtseven claims, "My dad used to wake me up at 3 a.m. because of the time difference to watch the games."
What does he do for fun? It depends where he is. If he is on the road he says, "I try to find coffee places and walk around."
Then he says, "When I am in Miami, I am going to the beach, it is the best city in the world."
Yurtseven and The Heat take on the world, next game is Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. against The Washington Wizards.
