UPDATE: Rosenthal has the prospect return coming to the Mets for Robertson.
The Mets have potentially shown their hand in which way they will go for the trade deadline.
According to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic, New York is trading reliever David Robertson to the Marlins, signaling the Mets may be in sell mode after entering Thursday 7.5 games out of a playoff spot.
Robertson became the Mets' most valuable reliever after Edwin Diaz's knee injury in the World Baseball Classic. The veteran is pitching to a 2.05 ERA this season.
So, the Mets seem to have become deadline sellers, while the Marlins are going for it in the National League Wild Card race.
