HOUSTON - There are few players more synonymous with a franchise than J.J. Watt and the Houston Texans.

Watt, of course, spent 10 of his 12 NFL seasons in Houston, reigning as arguably the best defensive player in football for a good portion of that time.
And now, that illustrious career appears to be coming to an end, with the no2-Arizona Cardinals defensive end announcing that he will retire from football at the end of the season.
Koa’s first ever NFL game. My last ever NFL home game," Watt said on Twitter. "My heart is filled with nothing but love and gratitude. It’s been an absolute honor and a pleasure."
One of the most fear pass rushers in NFL history, Watt has racked up 580 tackles and 111.5 sacks, two interceptions, 69 pass deflections, 191 tackles for loss and 313 quarterback hits in 149 career games. In his 10 years with the Texans, Watt played in 128 games, with 101 sacks, 1722 tackles for loss and 282 quarterback hits.
His 101 sacks are the most in Texans franchise history, and are 44 more than the next closest player on the list, Whitney Mercilus (57).
Watt's final two NFL games will come on January 1 in Atlanta against the Falcons, and January 8 in San Francisco against the 49ers.
