Chipotle announced that they will add the Hand-Crafted Quesadilla as its first customizable, digital-only menu item on March 11.

According to a Chipotle press release, the new hand-crafted quesadilla will be available on the digital-only menu, not in restaurants. Chipotle confirmed that this item had been one of the most popular foods at the chain on social media.

The quesadilla is also the first customizable item Chipotle added to its menu since the chain introduced the salad option 17 years ago.

“We’re so excited to answer the call from fans and introduce one of the most highly anticipated menu items in our brand’s history,” Chris Brandt, Chief Marketing Officer, said in a release. “The Hand-Crafted Quesadilla brings so many new possibilities to our menu, and fans will love exploring fresh flavor combinations through its sides and salsa options.”

When biting into the delicious quesadilla, food lovers will be able to taste Monterey Jack cheese with chicken, steak, carnitas, barbacoa, sofritas, or fajita veggies.

Customers will also pick three salsas or sides, including guac, sour cream, and tomato salsa. When ordering, you will not need to pay extra for the sides and salsas.

On March 11 through March 21, Chipotle will offer free delivery when customers order a quesadilla on the Chipotle app or chipotle.com.

Chipotle is known for adding items to its menu and listening to fans across the nation about what they love to eat at the chain.

Back in January, the chain launched a new menu item nationwide following high demand.

The Mexican food chain began offering up cauliflower rice alongside their white and brown rice options. The new menu item is Keto, Whole30, Paleo, and vegetarian friendly.
