Four Towns Fair, 56 Egypt Rd, Somers is packed with fun Friday 4-11pm, Saturday 8am-11pm and Sunday 8am-5pm.  Considered the oldest continuous Agricultural Fair in Connecticut. It began in the winter of 1838-1839 when people brought 420 cows and oxen to the fair. Nobody had ever seen so many cows and oxen in one place!  The 4 Towns behind the name are Somers, East Windsor, Enfield and Ellington.   General One Day Admission $10.  Children under 12 are free.  www.4townfair.com

The Berlin Fair - The Biggest Little Fair in Connecticut is back and celebrates 75 years with your fair favorites! They have everything from delicious food, to rides and games, and amazing live music all weekend long Friday 11am-10pm, Saturday 9am-10pm and Sunday 9am-6pm. The Connecticut Renaissance Faire has 6 weekends left through October 20th at the Lebanon Fair Grounds and boasts Fire eaters, Birds of Prey, Jousters, Comedy and Theater Troupes, Axe Throwing, Henna Tattoos, and food are just part of the fun! Admission is $16.  Parking is free, but donations are accepted for local charities.  Many weekends will be themed including Roses and Romance this weekend, Wizards September 21 & 22, Dragons and Adventure September 28 & 29, All Hallows Costume Weekend October 12 & 14 and the Grand Finale October 19 & 20.  Opening on Saturdays and Sundays at 10:30am.  www.ctfaire.com

The Mark Twain House & Museum marks the 150th anniversary of the Clemens Family's National Historic Landmark home with a day-long community celebration. Open to all, this festive, fun and interactive event will be held on the campus at 351 Farmington Avenue in Hartford Saturday from 10am to 5pm. The event will include Mark Twain House Living History Performers, Acclaimed storyteller Dr. Rauff Mama, The Typing Poet – Amazing Ellen Arnstein creating a personalized poem for you on the spot, Story Faces – Both storyteller and artist, Chris D’Agastino engages audience members as he illustrates his story on their faces, Seat Of Our Pants playing both original and traditional songs of the period, featuring songs related to the Mississippi River, the characters in Twain’s books, and Twain himself, The Ryan Mitten Traveling Museum, a collection of musical instruments and artifacts designed for hands-on learning, BubbleMania is loaded with visual comedy, quick wit, big band swing music, and the unbelievable quality and beauty of bubbles, With Down Home Frolic's fiddles and banjos in their hands, you’ll hear Irish reels and jigs, New England square dances, Cajun, Zydeco, and French Canadian Jeux Danse, Jeff Mainville Duo playing an eclectic mix of genres including pop, country, classic and southern rock, the classic hits of yesterday and the current hits of today, Anne Cubberly’s Giant Puppets, Our Furry Friends allowing you to get “up close and personal” with a wide variety of live exotic and domesticated animals. Watch our city grow throughout the day, Hat Decorating Workshop – Decorate a paper bag and create a beautiful, personalized “celebration hat,” Pie-Eating Contest, Anniversary Cards, and Color a Mural.

Ellington host their Farmer’s Markets Saturdays 9am to noon through October.  72 Maple St.   Start your day with a delicious breakfast from a food truck, then grab a chair and relax to the sounds of free live music. Kids of all ages are invited to join in the fun with our weekly themes and family-friendly activities. With over 40 vendors offering a bounty of CT Grown produce, meat, dairy, and eggs, as well as locally caught seafood, fresh baked goods, and a diverse array of prepared foods, there's something to delight every palate.

Saturday is Wallingford Garden Market day at Doolittle Park, 78 S Main St, Wallingford 10a – 1p!  Shop Local with many local vendors including Anna’s Lemonade! (Markets are rain or shine)

Coventry Farmers’ Market takes place Sundays until October 27, 10 am to 1 pm at the grounds of the Nathan Hale Homestead located at 2299 South Street.  Each week has its own theme and sampling takes place in the tasting barn.  This week it’s Celebrate National Honey Month Weekend!
