The Hartford Symphony Masterworks Series Presents Sirena Plays Sibelius Friday and Saturday at 8pm and Sunday 3pm at the Bushnell in Hartford.  The program opens with Strauss’ Don Juan, a thrilling tone poem that vividly portrays the legendary lover’s adventures. Celebrate Black History Month at the New Britain Museum of American Art with Free admission Saturday! Join us in celebrating and highlighting the lives, works, and contributions of Black artists in our community and those featured in the Museum’s collection. The day will include performances, artmaking, storytelling, and food that honors African American culture. The event includes Art Activity in Studio A - Create a silhouette scene inspired by Kara Walker’s "Harper's Pictorial History of the Civil War (Annotated)," Boogie Chillun - American Roots Music, Storytelling with New Britain Public Library, Drop-in Sketching in the Galleries - create your own still life drawing in front of Charles Ethan Porter’s "Peonies," Day of Tears Stage Reading (separate registration is required,) Makerspace: Faith Ringgold-inspired activity and a Café Takeover: Tradewinds at the Crossroads - Food offerings inspired by the Museum’s collection.

Learn all about the Tuskegee Airmen with a guided tour of the New England Air Museum, 36 Perimeter Road, Windsor Locks. The museum's exhibit The Tuskegee Airmen: Their Untold Stories. Tours run at 11AM & 1PM on Saturdays in February and are included with $23 admission.  www.neam.org
