Step Afrika! blends percussive dance styles practiced by historically African American fraternities and sororities, traditional African dances, and an array of contemporary dance and art forms into a cohesive, compelling artistic experience. Figments Youth Dance Ensemble will be conducting their 31st Annual Winter Concert on Saturday at 6pm and Sunday at 1pm at the Mandell Jewish Community Center, 335 Bloomfield Avenue in West Hartford. Tickets are $25 for adults and $20 for students/seniors. Figments is composed of dancers age 10 to 18 who choreograph their own pieces! Director is Heidi Klecak and Assistant Directors: Haley Fabrycki and Michelle Lockhart.
