Garden lovers in Connecticut are in for a treat on Sunday IF YOU REGISTER IN ADVANCE!  Murray Gardens, one of the area’s distinct, private outdoor spaces, is open to the public for just one day 10am to 4pm.  This enchanting two-acre oasis, nestled in lush woodland, is a vibrant tapestry of color and whimsical surprises. You’ll see three long-blooming perennial borders, a serene hydrangea bed, and a charming pond where a weeping maple sculpture gently rains all day, creating a soothing ambiance. Nearby, a bank of cheerful Carpet Flower roses adds a splash of color, while a naturalized woodland garden invites exploration with its myriad of shade plants and unexpected sculpture surprises, all set to soft background music.  The journey continues into the backyard, revealing gardens seamlessly integrated into the pool deck. A formal triangle garden commands attention, highlighting 'Knock Out' roses, fragrant Oriental lilies, and vibrant coleus within a manicured boxwood border. Daylily beds unfurl along an old stone wall, leading to a sprawling perennial garden and patio, from which curved steps ascend to an impressive 50-foot rose bed. Finally, the enchanting sunken garden boasts a cascading waterfall, a spectacular Heptacodium tree, several grand Japanese maples, and a collection of miniature conifers, all watched over by a whimsical six-foot frog.  Tickets for garden visits are $10 per person, or $5 for members of the Garden Conservancy. Children 12 and under are admitted for free when accompanied by a parent or guardian. All registrations must be processed online at www.gardenconservancy.org/opendays
