Many towns are hosting Veteran’s Day Celebrations… There are also businesses offering free meals. Mayor Erin E. Stewart and Veterans Commission Chairman John Buckley announced that the City of New Britain will host a Veterans Day Service at Central Park on Saturday at 11am to honor all Veterans. The Veterans Day Service is a commemorative ceremony which pays tribute to and recognizes and honors the men and women who have served or are still serving in the United States military. The Service will include placing of wreaths on the Civil War, WWII, Korean, Vietnam, and Global War on Terror Memorial Monuments, invocations, and the vocals for the National Anthem, the cadence, and “Taps” performed by the New Britain High School Madrigal and Band students.

Also on Veterans Day, Saturday , Flash Car Wash is offering a complimentary Diamond wash to all veterans and active service members as a gesture of gratitude for their dedication and sacrifice. This free service is available at all 19 Flash Car Wash locations. In addition, Flash Car Wash will be donating 100% of the proceeds from all paid retail washes on Veterans Day to Veterans Inc.
