Beyond King Tut is at the CT Convention Center now through October 15th.  Wednesday & Thursdays 11am – 7pm, Friday and Saturdays 11am – 9pm and Sundays 11am – 6pm (closed Mondays and Tuesdays) A cinematic exhibition that takes guests on an expansive journey through the true story of King Tut, and one of the greatest archaeological discoveries of all time. The Southington Apple Harvest Festival ends Sunday on the Southington Town Green. First Church of Christ Congregational Church in East Haddam will host the 27th Annual Quilt and Needle Arts Show Saturday 10am to 5pm and Sunday noon to 5pm.  See the beautiful handmade quilts on display in this historic 18th century Federal Meeting House, 499 Town St, Route 151, East Haddam.  Admission: $7. Night Fall, Hartford’s annual community celebration of art, music, dance, nature, and seasonal change, returns to Bushnell Park for the third time in its 12-year history on Saturday. This free outdoor performance features multi-talented artists and performers drawn from the Hartford region as well as eye-popping costumes, masks, and giant puppets. This year’s production will be presented adjacent to the historic Pump House near Pulaski Circle on the eastern side of Bushnell Park (home to the carousel and playground). Night Fall is free and open to all. The fun begins at 2 pm for guests to enjoy vendors, community organizations, art-making, and food trucks. Performances begin at 6pm. Attendees should bring blankets and lawn chairs with picnicking encouraged. The Jennifer Farber Dulos Memorial Walk to End Domestic Violence takes place Saturday beginning at 9am at Dunkin' Park in Hartford.  Put on your purple and join the Interval House family at Dunkin’ Park for a morning honoring victims and survivors. Gates open at 8am for donuts, coffee & activities. Our walk (1 mile) kicks off at 9am and will be followed by a brief program and moment of silence. The Fair Weather Acres Fall Festival and Corn Maze runs from now through October 29th. So much family fun with pumpkins, petting zoos and lots of activities!  They are off Route 3 in Rocky Hill on the Cromwell line and are open Friday, Saturday, and Monday Columbus Day, October 9th 9am-6pm with the last ticket entrance at 4:30pm.

Foodies and families will also enjoy the Lyman Orchards Corn Maze and Cider Donut Festival taking place Saturday and Sunday. From apple cider donut sundaes, pumpkin spice soft service ice cream, pumpkin spice popcorn, kettle corn and steamed, buttery corn on the cob. They’ll have plenty of pick your own apples and pears. There is also free yoga and a drumming circle over the weekend. And … what kid doesn’t like a horse-drawn hayride and face painting.
