The Big E continues till September 28th at the Eastern States Exposition in West Springfield!  The Big E is the largest event on the East Coast and the fourth largest fair in North America. Attendees can enjoy hours of free entertainment and attractions, terrific food, plus the best that New England—and beyond—has to offer. Fair Weather Growers, 10 Countyline Drive on the Rocky Hill/Cromwell Town Line has opened Fall Fest for the season!  Giant corn pit, jump pillow, animals, pumpkins and just a ton of fun on the farm! Weekends through October 31st!

Visit the Guilford Fair, Connecticut's 2nd oldest agricultural fair that began in 1859!   It takes place on the Guilford Fair Grounds, Stone House Lane, Guilford Friday 4-11pm, Saturday 9am-11pm and Sunday 9am-7pm.  This year's event includes live music, a Fair Circus, Zoo Show, Children's Zoo, Rosaire's Royal Racers (pigs), Camel and Pony rides, the Limelite Dance Team and more! Lake Compounce is Fall Ready and will feature more fog, more effects and more screams this fall as the park introduces an all-new haunt, Project Nightmare, in our largest and most horrifying Phantom Fall Fest yet. Greater Hartford Puerto Rican Day Parade and Festival del Coqui is celebrating 61 years of Puerto Rican culture Sunday 1-9pm in Bushnell Park. The parade will feature nearly 3,000 marching participants and is the largest parade in the City of Hartford and the Hartford region.

The Bushnell Park Carousel is waiting to greet your family!  Bring your kids, or don't. You definitely don't need an excuse to ride the historic 1914 Stein & Goldstein Carousel because it is beautiful! The best seat in the house is on a horse named Freedom.  Open weather permitting noon to 5pm.

Farmington Miniature Golf and Ice Cream Parlor on Route 4 in Farmington are Open for the season (weather permitting.) Golf open Sunday through Thursday 10am to 9pm.
