STORRS, Conn. (WTIC Radio)_ The Tolland State's Attorney's Office arrested the wife of a University of Connecticut police officer who was previously arrested and charged in a nearly year-long stalking incident.
Tammi Zavickas, 55, was arrested Thursday and charged with stalking and harassment. She has worked as a civilian for 14 years in UConn's Police Department. Her husband, Peter Zavickas, a police officer in the department, was arrested in November 2020 on stalking, computer crime, and harassment charges.
An investigation alleges Tammi Zavickas would drive with her husband in a personal vehicle to follow and photograph two other public safety employees while trying to avoid detection from September 30, 2019 to October 21, 2020.
It is alleged Tammi Zavickas created disparaging letters sent to uninvolved parties and to one victim's residence.
Tammi Zavickas was released on a $1,000 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Tolland Superior Court on February 3, 2021.
The case will be prosecuted by State’s Attorney Gedansky.
