STAMFORD, Conn. (AP) - Three students and a driver were briefly trapped inside a school bus in Connecticut after it slid off an icy road and brought down power lines. The Stamford Advocate reports that the bus struck a utility pole in Stamford at about 7 a.m. Thursday. The downed lines were draped over the bus. Police, concerned about the risk of electrocution, had the four occupants stay inside for about 30 minutes until power was turned off. Sgt. Sean Boeger says no one was hurt. The students ranged in age from 12 to 15. Two were on their way to Rippowam Middle School and the other was going to the Academy of Information Technology and Engineering. The road was closed as crews replaced the pole.
