(Hartford, Conn./WTIC) - Six additional deaths attributed to flu have been reported in Connecticut.
That brings the number of deaths this season due to complications of flu to 75.
The number were released Thursday by the state Department of Public Health.
The majority of those deaths--51--occurred in those aged 65 and older.
Activity remains elevated in the northeast, including Connecticut.
DPH does say the percentage of E-R visits due to flu is down slightly.
Nearly 3,300 have been hospitalized this seasson with just shy of 10-thousand overall cases reported. New Haven, Hartford, and Fairfield Counties have logged the most cases.
