(Southington, Conn./WTIC) - Southington Police say a shoplifting incident turned physical over the weekend, ending up with the arrest of one suspect.
On Saturday, police say 35-year-old Crystal Blake of Terryville left a TJ Maxx store on Queen Street with several items for which she didn't pay.
The items, five handbags and some jewelry, totaled nearly $200.
Loss prevention personnel confronted Blake when she left the store, after which the struggle occurred.
Police say Blake was able to break free and make her escape in a minivan.
She was picked up a short time later.
Police are charging Blake with larceny and robbery.
She's being held on $5,000 and is due in court today.
