(Middletown, Conn./WTIC) - State Police continued their holiday traffic enforcement detail as folks made their way home from the long Independence Day holiday weekend.
As of 5:00 p.m., troopers say they have responded to nearly 66-hundred calls for service.
There had been 250 vehicle crashes, but no fatalities.
Police say 315 needed assistance for disabled vehicles.
And officers made 42 DUI arrests.
Over 17-hundred citations have been issued, including 584 for speeding, 67 for not wearing a seatbelt, and 33 for distracted driving.
