(Wethersfield, Conn./WTIC) - The state is reporting a loss of jobs for the month of June. And the may figures have been revised to show an additional loss.
Departmen of Labor research director Andy Condon says Connecticut shed 14-hundred jobs last month.
Condon also says revised figures show the state also lost 400 jobs more than originally projected in May, bringing that total to 19-hundred.
He says the June figures were driven primarily by a large drop in the number of jobs in the government sector, mostly local.
Condon says the unemployment rate did fall a tenth of a percentage point last month to 3-point-7-percent. He says four of 10 sectors reported modest growth.
