(Hartford, Conn/WTIC) - Officials with MDC say an investigation is underway regarding the liquid contents of several vials that were found in an empty office today at the water company's Hartford headquarters.
Police, fire, and hazmat crews were called to the scene 555 Main Street.
MDC says employees in the general area of the discovery were evacuated, though there were no external evacutions.
A portion of Main Street was shut down temporarily but reopened by 1:00.
MDC officials say they have no evidence that anyone was harmed.
Further, the company says no drinking water was impacted, as there is no water supply or treatment facility at the Main Street location.
