(Hartford, Conn./WTIC) - Hartford police have made an arrest in a cold case murder investigation.
Officers say 37-year-old James Raynor was arrested in connecctoin with a 2002 killing while doing time for a separate 2009 murder.
He's now charged in the May 10, 2002 shooting death of 25-year-old Harry Baez.
That night, police say they were called to the area of 47 Center Street on a report of a man shot.
Baez was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and later died at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center.
Detectives worked the case for 14 years before it was transferred to the cold case unit of Chief State's Attorney's Office, which since 1998, has solved dozens of homicides.
The Baez killing is the third Hartford cold case homicide to be solved in five months.
Raynor is being held on murder charges. Bond was set at $1.5 million.
