
(New Haven, Conn./WTIC) - A man is facing charges that he put a hit out on his brother-in-law from behind bars.
Authorities say 29-year-old Joseph Arroyo was already in the New Haven Correctional Center on unrelated charges when he was arrested Tuesday by State Police.
The investigation into the murder-for-hire plot began last May.
Investigators say Arroyo tried to recruit fellow inmates to kill his brother-in-law.
Police didn't release specifics of what led to the alleged plot.
Arroyo is facing charges of inciting injury to person or property.
bond was set a a half-million dollars.
