(New Haven, Conn./WTIC) - Police in New Haven have arrested a man from Orange and charged him in connection with a message posted to social media ahead of today's Puerto Rican festival.

Overnight, officers picked up 53-year-old Jeffrey Hanson.

Authorities say it was Hanson who was behind a post that suggested the festival was the reason there should be 30-round magazines.

Hanson is facing a breach of peace charge and is being held on 50-thousand dollars.

He'll be in court on Monday.

The festival is still a go for today, 1:00 pm-9:00 pm on the New Haven Green.
