SIMSBURY, Conn. (WTIC) - The president of the Greater Hartford NAACP is demanding a meeting with Simsbury school officials after a photo surfaced on social media showing what appeared to be two high school girls in blackface.

President Maxien Robinson-Lewin has accused the school administration of minimizing the situation, and failing to take disciplinary action.

In a letter to parents this week, Simsbury Superintendent Matthew Curtis called the photo offensive and hurtful.
