(Manchester, Conn./WTIC) - Town animal control officers in Manchester are investigating after they say they've impounded between eight and 10 dogs in the last several months.
They believe a family from Manchester or one of the surrounding towns has been breeding dogs that look like Shih Tzus or Shih Tzu mixes.
Officers say the canines are mostly males between the ages of one-and-four years.
The dogs coats were extremely matted when found and they had to be sedated in order to shave them down.
Animal control officials ask if anyone thinks they know the owner or owner to call their officer at (860) 645-5516.
