PLAINFIELD, Conn. (WTIC Radio)_ Plainfield Police are investigating a late Tuesday night fire with double fatality.
The Plainfield Police and Plainfield Fire Departments went to 885 Norwich Road where a home was fully involved in fire. The homeowner was outside and reported two people, including a 9-year-old child, were inside the home.
Emergency responders were unable to enter the home due to the fire's intensity. Once the fire was controlled, two bodies were found.
The homeowner was transported to William W. Backus Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
No identities have been released. An autopsy on the two victims will be conducted.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
