
(Greenwich, Conn./WTIC) - Greenwich police are investigating a crash that left one person dead in the town's Cos Cob section late Thursday night.
Officers say the crash occurred on Post Road just after 10:00 p.m.
The vehicle had been traveling east when it left the roadway at the Cross Lane intersection, striking a tree and utility wires, before hitting a commercial building.
Police say the victim was extricated from the vehicle and rushed to Stamford Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The victim's name has not been released, nor has a cause of the crash.
The building at 121 Post Road has been deemed unsafe by Greenwich building inspectors
